Three Burney’s have memorials in Westminster Abbey; Charles (father of Fanny),

Charles (brother) and on 13th June 2002 a memorial panel in the Poet’s Corner window was unveiled in memory of Fanny.

“I was intrigued to see this ledge stone on the floor of Westminster Abbey - Lady Eland who died in 1694 was born Esther de la Tour du Gouvernet, her mother Esther de la Tour du Pin is mentioned. They must have been related to the husband of Lucie de la Tour du Pin (see above)
